CUUC 2009 website and Suggestions for Pre CUUC 2009 Interviews
Nation,
The CUUC 2009 is up and here's a link to it. If you're a university squad that hasn't confirmed your presence yet, please do so. With travel subsidies, great travel deals with WestJet and a host city like Montreal, you'd be silly not to do so.
I'm looking to conduct some interviews with key teams and players before CUUC takes place. As a reader, which team do you want to learn more about? Which players should I speak to?

Colin Purdy
Name and team please, and why they should be interviewed.
MARK LLOYD!!!
Andrew Higgins, Western
Matt Hogel, Dalhousie
Jeffrey Scantron, McGill
UBC
Someone from the U de M ladies. I think they'd have interesting things to say.
As the U de M coach, I suggest either Isabelle Ascah-Coallier (the captain) or Jasmine Gobeil-Boudreault, 2 of the main driving forces of the team.
Anne Mercier - Ottawa U
Kielan Way - Carleton
Echo the call for Jeffrey Scantron at McGill
Seconding the Matt Hogel, Dalhousie request.
an interesting character, a relative veteran in the university division, and representing a team from out east (a rarity?)
I'd like to hear from any of the teams we didn't see at Easterns.
Paul G from Guelph.
I could tell you about a few players from U of S - Tommy Douglas if interested. Very similar squad to the Nationals team.
- Nathan
I second Hadrian's request to get the lowdown on teams which didn't attend Easterns.
Carleton has done a great job of developing a top level team over the last few years. Would be interested to hear from them. I imagine, from the familiar club faces, that their strength has come from encouraging all players to play club (of any level) during summers. This was the key for Tula, but would be good to hear their take on it (from someone who's been there a while, please).
Andrew the mule Carroll
Queen's
he's the best
Either Matt Hogel or Dalhousie's captain Bobo Eyrich (the guy 3 posts above me) will know the word on DKUT.
I second the Colin Purdy (Carleton) request. He's always got something interesting to say. I think one of the best players to speak to about Carleton would be Bryce Ring (he has been around for a while). And, if he's not too busy with the shellfish, Kielan Way (I think the reasons are obvious) would be a great interview as well.
I would also like to hear more about teams from out east. Is Dalhousie the only Atlantic school with representation? I recall Acadia had a team for CUUC when it was last in Montreal. It surprised me at the time because the enrollment is so small in Wolfville, but now I'm wondering why there aren't more teams from the Maritimes? UNB seems like it would be big enough, as well as St. Mary's and UPEI. Maybe Hogel can fill us all in.
I'd love to see more coverage on the womens teams...
U of G women only lost one game (by 1 point), and got no recognition
MEGS, is the U of G ladies team full of angst too? :)
Would love to do more coverage on the ladies side. Had the scores for all the games been posted, I would have done equal analysis on both side.
Have to agree about your example- That sounds like a very good run from Guelph.
chuck cantone, Concordia university mens. it's only their second year in existence and should be interesting how they're preparing for a tournament with such a young team
Nathan,
Send me an e-mail @ steven.trainorATgmail.com.
Dear Cracker Barrel,
Please tell me something about UBC.
Thanks!
